We could all chip in a quarter and take Pokey on a date to the movie."

Our relaxing weekend continued today, and it was a nice change fo pace after doing two retreats and then going on our own staff retreat to Interlaken. It was a low key day but tonight we decided to venture out to the budget movie theartre, $2 for all shows. We went to see Mr. & Mrs. Smith and it was quite enjoyable. As we were leaving the theatre Maureen nearly geneflected as she exited the asile. We have defiently been spending lots of time in church. Claire made the comment, " Brad Pit is hot but come on he isn't God." This started the four of us girls laughing hysterically.

As we were walking out we saw the sign that said that Tuesdays were only $1 for all shows. This gave one of use the great idea to take Pokey out on a date to the Budget theatre some Tuesday, "Lets take pokey out we can all chip in a quater."

Thank God for the gift of laughter, there are not too many dull times with the LAs. We are a lively bunch.

Back home in the Red House

We arrived safely back in Beacon after a couple days of relaxtion and dicerning what aspects our volunteer work would include. We stopped at the famous Capuchin stop, the Roscoe diner for a late lunch.

After a busy week it was nice to come home to the comfortable Red House. Pokey left for the weekend to go to Boston and the four girls decided that there were some weird things sitting in our living room, a scary picture of nuns, a mouse picture that said the best things in life are free, and random other things, so we decided to redecorate. We moved exsisting pictures around, switched the dark green curtains for white lace, and just spruced the place up a bit. Mind you this all took place at about 11pm. No one knows what will happen in the Red House.

Interlaken, NY - Sunrise to Greet Us All !

Good morning sunshine! After 2 days of rain is was a welcome change to see the sun coming up over the water. We celebrated Mass on the dock.
Celebrating Mass on the Dock.
It was a beautiful day and we did so much. We finished sharing our fatih journies.

In the afternoon we went for a short hike, this is not sarcasm, it truly was short, like a mile and a half walk. We end our little treck just as we thought it was beginning. As one can plainly see the look of dissapoitment on all of our faces at the end of the trail. Despite that it was a short hike we did get to see a beautiful waterfall.

On the drive back from our short hike, we stopped for icecream. Yummy!

For dinner we had BBQ chicken and corn on the cob. Pokey was a little adament about not being hugged by Claire after she had come out of the lake. So Pokey started running around the dock with an ear of corn to defend himself from the hug attack of Claire.

After dinner we discerned which youth group each of us would be assigned to. I was placed at St. Joachim/ St. John in Beacon, New York as my God's Tym.

Since there was a row boat at the boat house we were at we figured we needed to use it. Pokey, Mo and Claire had taken the boat out in the afternoon but we decided that we needed a little Lay Assistant bonding by taking the boat out for a moonlight ride. The five of us piled into the boat about midnight and enjoyed singing and rowing and being able to see the stars above.
