WICKED

Yesterday I went on a trip with my local bank, yes those of you who know me well, are laughing because of the size of my town and might even be making sheep jokes. Anyway, we went to Chicago to see the musical Wicked. You may be asking what is that? Well it is the story before the Wizard of Oz that tells the story of the Witches of Oz, in particular the Wicked Witch of the West.

The costumes, sets, and special effects were amazing. There were of course winged-monkeys, and Glinda the good. The actors had amazing voices, and Elphaba (who is the Wicked Witch) was played by the understudy and still had an absolutely amazing voice.

A few lessons from the story, appearances can be deceiving, people are in your life for a reason (For Good), and not everyone needs to be Popular but rather be who you are and were made to be.

I highly recommend this production to anyone who enjoys musical theatre. It is a great story with some catchy tunes. :)
